Welcome To The Practice

This website provides many online facilities, including appointment booking/cancellation and prescription ordering. It also contains a vast range of health information and resources, along with practical information on visiting the surgery. We hope you find the website useful and informative.

The partners at the Village Medical Centre hold a contract with NHS England to provide General Medical Services. These are provided by medically qualified partners

Training Practice

The Village Medical Centre is now a Training Practice.

This means 4th year Medical Students will spend 1 day a fortnight with us as part of their training.

You may be asked if you mind the students sitting in on your consultation, this will not happen without your full consent.

We also have 1st year nursing students throughout the year.  They will be assisting the practice nurses.  As above you will be asked if you are hapy to have them present during your consultation.

Online Services

The Practice is pleased to provide patients with access to its Clinical System via a Secure Web Interface.

To use EMIS Patient Access you will need a Practice ID number and Access ID number which is obtained from the practice, and, in conjunction with a password, will be unique to you.

    Average GP earnings for 17-18

    .All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The mean earnings for GPs working in The Village Medical Centre in the financial year ended 31st December 2017 was £48,511 before deduction of employee's superannuation contributions,tax and National Insurance.This is the average pay for the 3 part-time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months during that year

    Extended access service

    From 1st October 2018 patients can book GP/nurse appointments during the evenings and at weekends. NB: this is not at your registered practice with your own gp/practice nurse. To book an appointment please contact the practice. You cannot be seen for Insurance reports Cytology (smears) Fitness to work certificates or to obtain opiate medication. No home visits will be offered
